You are welcome to join our scheduled 1-day trip, during which you will see

There can be some changes due to weather conditions!:

  • the field camp of the 25th brigade of the radiation-chemical and bacteriological protection;
  • the Zone checkpoint "Dytyatki";
  • the abandoned village of Zalissja;
  • bypass road to the NPP around the town of Chernobyl, built during the first month after the accident;
  • the eliminated village of Kopachi;
  • concrete-reloading unit, which was essential for erection of the Sarcophagus;
  • the decontaminated Red Forest, located on the trace of the worst – first – release of the radiation directly after the explosion;
  • town of Pripyat, which had population of 50 thousand before the evacuation:
  • the building of fire station, which crews arrived the second to extinguish fire at the NPP on the night of explosion on April 26, 1986,
  • building of the townhouse - the first headquarters for mitigation of the accident's consequences,
  • hotel "Polissya" which was an observation point for correcting helicopter operations over the ruin of the 4th reactor,
  • a hospital, which accommodated the firemen and NPP workers, badly affected by t he accident;
  • Chernobyl NPP:
  • the Sarcophagus and New Safe Confinement ("Arch") – observation lot and visit to the observation building,
  • fire station at the NPP; its crews arrived the first to extinguish fire at the NPP after explosion,
  • park and monument near the administrative building, where used to be an enormous parking lot in 1986: thousands of people arrived there daily for NPP decontamination, Sarcophagus construction and other works,
  • the NPP cooling pond (feeding giant catfish – depending on the season)
  • the cooling towers of the third stage of the Chernobyl NPP;
  • the town of Chornobyl, with the world's best monument to the heroes of Chernobyl, and an open-air exhibition of vehicles and robots, which took part in the clean-up.
  • dinner in Chernobyl-town.

    THE PRICE INCLUDES

  • We meet from 7.30 to 8.00 a.m. in Kyiv, near Kyiv main railway station.
  • We depart from Kyiv at 8.00 a.m. SHARP.
  • In case of your absence at the meeting place at the time of departure the payment for the trip won't be refunded.
  • You should have with you your passport. WITHOUT PASSPORT NO ONE IS LET IN THE ZONE!
  • According to the Zone regulations, you should wear:
  • a jacket or shirt with long sleeves
  • trousers (NO shorts, NO knee-breeches, NO shirts)
  • boots or sneakers, which fully cover your feet, WITHOUT FANCY OPENINGS.
  • Before the departure, you will be requested to sign two documents, which confirm that you won't blame the Chernobyl zone administration and trip organizers for any possible health states, which may or may not occur during the trip or in the future.
  • We will travel by comfortable bus (DVD, condition).
  • At 5 p.m., if you like, you can have a dinner at the Chernobyl canteen. A hearty and ecologically clean meal costs ~$8 per person, paid on the spot in UAH; it is not included into the cost of the trip and is optional. Vegetarians should inform about their preferences early in the morning of the trip.
  • We will arrive back to Kiev approximately at 8.30 p.m.
  • all formal permissions,
  • comfortable auto transportation Kiev-Zone-Kiev (air conditioning,
  • viewing a selection of documentary films on the route), English-speaking guide (or guide plus interpreter) and guide of the Chernobyl Zone,
  • maximally permitted time of stay in the Zone (leaving Kiev at 8.00 a.m., arriving back at 7.30 - 8.30 p.m.),
  • extended program of the visit,
  • teaching skills of radiation survival, route map and personal certificate about visit to the Chernobyl zone.
